Protests at City Hall Call for Rule of Law – Culver City Crossroads

On April 19, 2025, Culver City’s City Hall was again the scene of a mass protest against the federal Republican Administration, with shouting, sign waving and chanting. Just under a thousand people gathered at 11 am, with this Saturday being organized by Indivisible, a national grass-roots organization working to support democracy.

As with the April 5, 2025 protest, supported by the 50501 organization, Culver City residents and other locals brought signs to the street, and the crowded sidewalk between Duquesne and Lafayette was a powerhouse of protestors. Many people cited the need for due process and rule of law, and more than a few called for the sitting president to be removed.

Many of the cars driving by honked their agreement and approval, and the cheers from the crowd rang throughout the downtown area.

The persistence of the protestors and the national continuity of organizations seems to forecast that this will be a very regular, ongoing occurrence in Culver City until the constitutional crisis is resolved.
