Ballona Creek Renaissance announces an art event that not only honors one of our founding members, Artist Lucy Blake-Elahi, but will also serve In supporting our efforts to clean, green, educate, advocate and beautify the watershed area of Ballona Creek. With over 25 years of community engagement we are looking forward to seeing art, and creek lovers come together to enjoy this gathering of creek-connected artists. Please follow IG/FB to get updates.
We are asking for your support to fund our local projects including creek cleanups that clear three tons of trash annually, our native California garden projects, our engagement with local students, our successful policy advocacy for single-use plastics elimination, and several arts projects along the creek – including 2 large murals and a county gate design by Lucy Blake-Elahi! Current projects include our single use plastic ban efforts and asphalt removal/native planting gardens on school properties, as well as support of our on-going efforts.
