Barba Gains More Endorsements as Election Approaches – Culver City Crossroads



Nancy Barba added three key endorsements from elected officials in her race for Culver City Council. California State Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas (District 28), Los Angeles Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez (District 1), and LA Councilmember Nithya Raman (District 4) are all backing Barba’s candidacy.

“Nancy Barba is a community organizer and a champion for renters rights, housing for all, and environmental justice,” said Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez. “We need her vision and experience on Culver City Council, and I’m proud to endorse her run to make our region a safer, more inclusive, and more just place for all.”

“I am thrilled to gain the support of two respected Los Angeles City Councilmembers,” said Barba. “If elected, I hope to work closely with the LA City Council to improve the lives of all our constituents.”

Nancy Barba has received endorsements from 19 other current and former elected leaders so far: City of Los Angeles Controller Kenneth Mejia, Culver City Mayor Yasmine-Imani McMorrin, Culver City Council Member Freddy Puza, City of West Hollywood Mayor John Erickson, City of West Hollywood Vice Mayor Chelsea Byers, Santa Monica Council Members Gleam Davis, Caroline Torosis, and Jesse Zwick, City of Burbank Council Member Konstantine Anthony, former Los Angeles City Councilmember Mike Bonin, Culver City School Board Vice President Triston Ezidore, former Culver City School Board Members Barbara Honig and Stephen Schwartz, and Los Angeles Unified Board of Education Member Dr. Rocío Rivas, as well as former Culver City Mayor and National Sierra Club Board Director Meghan Sahli-Wells, former Culver City Mayor Gary Silbiger, former Culver City Mayor David Hauptman, and former Santa Monica Mayor Pam O’Connor.
