RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council (1) adopt a resolution in support of action for the closure of the natural gas storage facility located at 8141 Gulana Avenue in Playa del Rey, CA; and (2) provide direction to the City Manager as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION
At the February 22, 2021 City Council Meeting, the City Council heard public comment and discussed the closure of the Southern California Gas Company’s Natural Gas Storage Facility in Playa Del Rey. After discussion, the City Council voted 4-1 (Eriksson) to agendize a resolution to support action for the closure of the natural gas storage facility at this location.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There is no fiscal impact for the City Council to adopt this Resolution.
