RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) receive and file the DAC 2024/2025 Meeting Calendar and the Upcoming Agenda Items List, with adjustments, if any.
BACKGROUND
Staff has prepared this report to give the DAC Members an opportunity to review the 2024/2025 Meeting Calendar and the Upcoming Agenda Items List, which are both provided as Attachment 1.
Any adjustments to the Meeting Calendar, including a change to the usual meeting location, and/or the Upcoming Agenda Items List, may be agreed upon by consensus of the Committee. Once consensus has been reached, a motion may be made to receive and file the report.
DISCUSSION
2025 Proposed Meeting Dates
DAC Committee meetings are usually scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month. Listed below are all proposed meeting dates based on this rotation:
• Wednesday, February 12, 2025
• Wednesday, April 9, 2025
• Wednesday, June 11, 2025
• Wednesday, August 13, 2025
• Wednesday, October 8, 2025
• Wednesday, December 10, 2025
Based on past meeting scheduling patterns regarding planning and preparation for the annual Disability Awareness Month and associated Abilities Carnival and Resource Fair, staff also suggest the DAC consider adding the following meeting date to their schedule for 2025:
• Wednesday, September 10 OR Wednesday, September 17, 2025
2025 Religious Holidays
The following religious holidays fall on or around the DAC’s regular meeting dates in 2025:
October 8, 2025 - Sukkot, a Jewish holiday, will be observed from sundown on Monday, October 6 through sundown on Monday, October 13. No work is permitted on the first two days of the holiday, which may impact the meeting date.
