RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission receive and file the report regarding the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department’s Responsibilities Connected to the City’s Emergency Operations Plan. 

 

 

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

 

At the March 18, 2025, Special Meeting, the PRCS Commission agendized a report from PRCS to explain the department’s responsibilities within the City’s Emergency Operations Plan (Attachment 1) and how those responsibilities are connected to the Parks Plan, especially in response to the recent fires in the Palisades area of Los Angeles.  The report will be given by Director Ted Stevens.

That the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission: 

 

Receive and file the report.
