Measure E updates were presented at the March 11, 2025, CCUSD School Board meeting, covering both work in progress and projects that have been completed since late January 2025. The District is excited to see the work of the school site committees come to fruition through plans and designs. These design steps are creating a clearer vision of a future with enhanced facilities and school sites.
Highlights of the report, presented by Assistant Superintendent of Business Services’ Report Santha Rajiv, included a recap of School Site Committee meetings, visits from the design team, engineers and the fire department, and program design phases on all campuses.
Continued meetings of the district-wide Standards Committee. The district-wide Standards Committee includes representation from each school site made up of community members, staff, and administrators to get their input. There are weekly internal meetings with maintenance and operations staff to assess their needs.
This collaborative process ensures that the voices of all stakeholders are heard and that the resulting standards reflect the community’s values and priorities. The goals of the committee are:
• To create a standardized approach to all new construction and modernization projects to minimize ongoing operational cost.
• To provide equity among all the school sites in program spaces
• To create sustainable practices that can be implemented in all projects while adhering to legal, safety and accessibility requirements related to Measure E.
