RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission observe the administration of the Oath of Office to newly appointed PRCS Commission Members Jennifer Chen, Maggie Peters, and Thomas Whitaker.
BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION
ADMINISTRATION OF THE OATH OF OFFICE
On June 9, 2025, the City Council appointed Jennifer Chen and Maggie Peters to PRCS Commission Seats Number 4 and 5 respectively for a full-term expiring June 30, 2029. The City Council appointed Thomas Whitaker to PRCS Commission Seat Number 3 for a partial term expiring June 30, 2026. To begin their terms, the PRCS Commission Secretary will administer the Constitutional and Loyalty Oaths to the newly appointed Commissioners, both parties will sign duplicate originals of the document, and the Commissioners will retain one of the signed documents.
