RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution appointing Mayor Dan O’Brien as Delegate and Council Member Albert Vera as Alternate Delegate as part of the General Membership of the Independent Cities Association (ICA) and rescinding Resolution No. 2025-R014.
BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION:
The City of Culver City has been a member of the ICA for many years, and it is required that the City Council appoint a Delegate and an Alternate Delegate to that organization.
On January 27, 2025, the City Council appointed Council Member Vera as Delegate and Mayor O’Brien as Alternate Delegate to the ICA by Resolution No. 2025-R014.
Due to current work constraints, Mayor O’Brien and Council Member Vera have requested that they swap positions so that Mayor O’Brien would be appointed as Delegate and Council Member Vera would be appointed as Alternate Delegate.
These positions will be considered again during the annual City Council appointments to outside bodies in January 2026.
