DISCUSSION

At a special meeting on October 24, 2024, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) discussed the City’s plans to install interactive digital kiosks throughout the City, along sidewalks and in the public rights-of-way. Following the meeting, Members expressed to City Council safety concerns regarding the siting of the kiosks.

At the City Council meeting on October 28, 2024, Council directed staff to reach out to BPAC and other groups, as well as the community at large, regarding where the kiosks should be placed and return to Council for approval.

A community meeting is being planned in October 2025 regarding the kiosk site plan and Members of BPAC will be invited to attend and participate.

At this meeting, BPAC Members will discuss safety considerations regarding the kiosk locations, prepare for the community meeting, and determine if specific Members will attend and speak.
