RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution accepting grant funds in the amount of $565,707 from the Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program to Develop Complete Streets Implementation Procedures and Update the City's Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At its September 8, 2025 meeting, the City Council authorized acceptance of grant funds from the Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program to develop Complete Streets Implementation Procedures and update the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan. As a condition of award, Caltrans requires the City Council to adopt a resolution formally accepting the grant funds. The resolution must specify the grant project title and identify the City staff position authorized to execute the contract with Caltrans (Attachment 1). Staff recommends adoption of the resolution to enable use of the grant funds for this project.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There is no fiscal impact associated with adopting this resolution.
A budget amendment associated with the grant funds was approved by City Council on September 8, 2025.
