The ordinances and resolutions adopted by the City Council — the city's actual laws and formal policy decisions. Routine agenda items, minutes, and presentations live under Meetings.

Ordinances & Resolutions only
What am I looking at?

This page shows only legislation — the two kinds of formal law-making actions the Council takes. Everything else that happens at a meeting (minutes, presentations, routine approvals, closed-session matters) is on the Meetings pages.

Ordinance
A city law — e.g. zoning, speed limits, or business rules. Requires two readings (an introduction and an adoption at a later meeting) and usually takes effect 30 days after adoption.
Resolution
A formal written decision or policy — e.g. adopting a budget, setting fines, or placing a measure on the ballot. Usually passed in a single vote and effective immediately.
Status
Where the item stands in the process — e.g. Adopted, Agenda Ready, or on the Consent Agenda.

Agenda codes you may see

CS
Closed Session — discussed privately, as the law allows.
C
Consent Calendar — routine items approved together in one vote.
A
Action Item — debated and voted on individually.

Body prefixes you may see in titles

CC
City Council
PFA
Parking Financing Authority
HA
Housing Authority
SA
Successor Agency
PA
Parking Authority

A title like CC:PFA means the same elected officials are acting as more than one governing body during that vote.
